I have a 10-year-old dense fleece quarter-zip top with a bungee shock cord that lost its ability to "cinch." I could not part with the garment, so the cord needed to be replaced. My wife sent me to the local fabric store armed with a bit of the old cord, but a replacement could not be found. Cutting and rethreading the cord through the waist channel was quick and easy, and I am back in business. The 'cinch' tension of the new cord works well in the garment.
