I was looking for small cleats for, believe it or not, a garden application. After suffering severe hip & femor fractures, it became clear that I could no longer work my garden due to the need to kneel down, crawl around a bit and struggle to get back up. I narrowed my gardening products to three major and two "possible" plants, to be planted in galvanized Raised Garden Beds with Legs, 48×24×32in, also ordered through Amazon. As the photos show, my tomato plants are dwarfing the raised bed but are healthy. Hence, the cleats and some line to hold them erect through the growing season. As a long-time boater, I know how sun and rain can work on both metal and "plastic" hardware. These cleats use a black nylon material, suitable for extended exposure to climate. I live in Puget Sound, where it rains a lot so this was an important consideration. The cleats I am using are actually for kyaks, primarily. Sturdy, well sized for the slight curves in the container design. The stainless steel screws that come with the cleats are finely machined but quite long for my containers. BUT, the screws' thread detail match perfectly with USA screws.
