I thought the book was good. However I was getting it to overdome a lost one. The first half is not about that issue and the second half has some issues I wouldn't sujest for people with a lost one to read.. so it's a good boook to read, but not for someone who has lost a loved one.i bought the book but have net gotten the courage to read it yet. my son died by suicide. it may take me a while before i can read it. it arrived on time and in good condition. thank youA mom convinced her son that suicide was ok because he will channel with her after he dies, and miracle has it he does, I call bullshit on her channeling with him. I believe in psychics and thought this book would be a good read, anyone with half a brain can read right through this crap. Please don’t ever give this book to a suicidal person it will mess with their head and make them more confused about life. I am so sorry that Stephen was born to such a narcissistic mother.I bought this book years ago for myself. I have one autographed by Ann. I buy extra to loan out and I also buy it as a gift when someone loses a loved one. It gives comfort to those left behind. This book is sad, touching on one of the really tragic facets of life - suicide. But the book offers a lot of hope and understanding to anyone who has survived someone's suicide. It's well worth reading.Certainly interesting!!Shipping was fast. I am very pleased. The book is good.Back when the author's son, Stephen committed suicide, talking with dead loved ones was definitely not in the mainstream culture. And nobody wanted to take part in any kind of dialog about suicide. Puryear was brave indeed, not only writing about the death of her child by suicide, but in sharing her deeply personal experiences of communicating and learning from Stephen AFTER his death. Her son became her wonderful teacher about soul contracts, life, death, and "life after life." Some of the book is heart breaking to read. But the payoff comes as Stephen shares insights into the great mysteries of life, death, soul contracts, and free will. Classic book in afterlife communications, consciousness studies, and healing grief.Having been involved with spiritual matters for 40 years, it's not often I read a book that I find really interesting. Elisa Medhus MD loses her son to suicide and as a definite skeptic is forced to investigate if life after death is really true. Her journey finding her son and her questions to him about life in the spirit world confirms everything I was already aware of and more. Her son's character shines through and her profession as a doctor helps her to ask all the important questions. This work is well worth a read if you are interested in finding out what life is like in the next dimension.I was 16 when my brother of 21 committed suicide.I grieved & tortured myself for years because I felt I should have known how depressed he was. I could have helped him.I read this book when I was 50. It brought me so much comfort. An Amazing book.
