Afterlife Blues is the sophomore full-length album from Canadian Indie rockers the Fast Romantics. Although, as the name implies, the themes of death pervade the songs on this LP, it has a surprisingly upbeat sound. In fact, they start with rollicking "Friends", which describes being in love with one of your friends. The "Funeral Song" pulls you into a song whose subject normally doesn't get your toes tapping. In the eponymous "Afterlife Blues", the FR gives us a slower paced song, bemoaning what was not accomplished.The Fast Romantics have delivered a fantastic album. Their blend of shiver pop-tinged indie rock results in a diverse set of songs that never fail to delight the listener
